Women in Syria represent a rich store of energy, talent, and compassion, that has been stifled by conflict.
Our Enterprising Women programme seeks to unlock that potential, allowing them to fulfil their personal goals while helping them to positively transform their communities.
Aimed at women aged 20-35, the programme tutors them in leadership skills, entrepreneurship, communication, time management, creative thinking, negotiation and business skills.
Another 80 women from diverse communities have taken a step closer to economic independence, after training with our Enterprising Women project.
It launched in the Syrian city of Hom, under the title Super Women, in partnership with Junior Chamber International (JCI), who named it Project of the Year.
The finale of the 50-hour programme was a conference featuring their work, attended by established women in business in the region, with a number being taken up as going concerns.
How it Works
We bring our Enterprising women together with established Syrian businesswomen, project collaborators and official representatives to create a mutually beneficial network of inspiring women.
It is an on-going process, supporting the women in their onward journey to self-sufficiency and financial independence. Our aim is that they will become beacons of hope, peacebuilders, and play a crucial role in the economic development of their communities.
